Children's Day

May 5th was Children's Day in Japan and so we bought Noah a cake to celebrate. Here is a pic of Noah being excited to eat cake!

I'm a fishin man

recently I have been enjoying a new hobby. fishing. my next door neighbor Kojima (who works at my main elementary school) has been introducing me to fishing. there is a pond near our apartment were we always catch black bass. Kojima took me to this fishing goods store and helpedme pick out some used gear.

last weekend Kojima and I went out fishing at different ponds. and although Kojima is really good at fishing, I was able to catch close to 10 black bass myself.

If you don't know what a black bass looks take a look at one of the ones I caught.

recently Naoko and I attended her close friend's wedding. I was the camera man so I was kept busy but we still had a wonderful time. Naoko was able to wear her dress that we got at Bellevue Square so she was as beautiful as ever. And on a side note, I tied my tie all by myself for the first time in my life. I used youtube which was very helpful.

enjoy the pic.

cherry blossom season came and went

This years Cherry Blossom season was a nice one. This day the family went out for a little picnic by a big cherry blossom tree. These trees remain in bloom for about one week. In Japan this is the start of spring and (without exaggerating) everyone has picnics under the cherry blossom trees (which by the say don't produce cherries). Enjoy the pic.

that's mister panda to you

Last weekend I helped out for the Children's Festival in Tsukidate. Try to guess which one I am in the picture.
